How does one care for an algae ball?
Care instructions are provided with your order, but in short, this is an easy plant for anyone to take care of. They prefer chilly water over hot, enjoy gentle swirls, indirect sunlight (they eat via photosynthesis), and water changes every 1-2 weeks.
Currently, what are the Marimo Mates doing?
Pre-adoption, Marimo Mates float around (or just sit there) with their brothers and sisters. Kept in just the right temperature water with indirect light, singing, and gentle swirling though out the day. Our Japanese Algae Balls are only removed from their routinely cleaned aquariums, just before heading off on their big adventure.
